Refund & Warranty Policy

Our goal is to provide quality repairs and fair service. This policy describes the warranty we provide on our work and the process for addressing concerns or disputes. We aim to be clear and straightforward — if you have a question about a specific situation, please contact us directly.

1. Service Warranty

1.1 Standard Warranty Coverage

All repair services performed by Repair My PST are covered by a 90-day limited warranty on parts and labor from the date the device is returned to the customer. During this period, if the same issue recurs due to a defect in the parts we used or an error in our workmanship, we will re-examine the device and perform corrective work at no additional charge.

1.2 What the Warranty Covers

  • The specific component or issue addressed by the repair
  • Parts installed by Repair My PST during the service
  • Labor associated with correcting the same issue within the warranty period

1.3 What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • New, unrelated hardware or software failures that occur after the repair
  • Physical damage (drops, impacts, pressure) occurring after the repair
  • Liquid or moisture damage occurring after the repair
  • Issues caused by software, viruses, or operating system problems unrelated to the repair performed
  • Normal wear and tear on components
  • Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly or repair attempts by parties other than Repair My PST after our service
  • Diagnostic services where no repair was performed

2. Diagnostic Fees

We charge a diagnostic fee for assessing devices. This fee covers the technician's time to examine the device and provide a diagnosis and repair recommendation. The diagnostic fee is credited toward the cost of the repair if you choose to proceed with service.

If you choose not to proceed with a recommended repair after diagnosis, the diagnostic fee is non-refundable. This covers the labor cost of the assessment work performed.

3. Refunds and Remedies

3.1 When Refunds May Be Issued

We will issue a partial or full refund in the following circumstances:

  • We performed a repair that did not resolve the issue it was intended to address, and a re-repair attempt was also unsuccessful
  • A part we installed fails within the warranty period and a suitable replacement is not available
  • We are unable to complete a repair that was paid for in advance

3.2 Refund Process

We will ask you to bring the device back in for inspection before any warranty repair or refund is processed. We do not issue refunds for services without first examining the device to assess the situation.

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via the original payment method. Cash refunds are issued for cash payments.

4. Parts and Components

We use quality replacement parts sourced from reputable suppliers. We will inform you of any relevant differences between OEM (original manufacturer) parts and quality aftermarket alternatives before proceeding with a repair. In some cases, OEM parts may not be commercially available, and we will discuss alternatives with you before proceeding.

5. Consumer Rights

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under Pennsylvania consumer protection laws or applicable federal law. If you believe a dispute has not been resolved fairly through our standard process, you may have recourse through the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection.
